Artificial Motion

6 Frame Action Narrative

Thirst Quencher
This is Jeff Wu drinking water in order to satisfy his thirst after working hard in PE.
  1. I used my Canon 550D with a 24mm lens. The burst mode was easy to use and the shutter speed was easy to manage.
  2. My favorite frame is the top right photo because it shows the moment right before Jeff is taking a sip of water and the action.
  3. It was interesting to see all the detail that a camera can capture in every frame. It really shows all the little details that one might miss if they were not to shoot in burst mode.

Action Photographs

Manual Mode : 1/100 4.0 ISO Auto

Manual: 1/100 4.0 Auto

TV: 1/200 4.0 Auto
  1. My favorite image is the image of the dice getting hit by the car because the yellow dice is still focused and clear while the car and dice are falling away from the image and leaving the scene. It shows more than just motion and shows the stationary object too.
  2. The background was not blurry. To get the background to be blurry, I could have shot the images while moving in the same direction as the subject in motion.
  3. Shot from mostly an angle that is from the profile and not directly at the subject. I could have shot with the angle right behind the bowling ball or the car to show the car or ball moving towards the stationary object and hitting it to give a more artistic approach.

1. What makes the best adventure photography is when one can capture the moment and fully embrace the moment that one is in. The lighting and everything just shows emphasis on the subject and truly portraying the moment.

2. There are waterfalls around the area that could be photographed and also a lot of cars on the highway that is easily accessed. Additionally, San Francisco has a lot of movement at all times and could always be shot.

Making Great Photographer

The image is elevated to a degree to make the photo look bigger than it actually is.
The light, composition, and something interesting makes a photo better.
